Hello! At present, all desiccant industries do not have these two certificates, because desiccant enterprises are not classified as food manufacturers, but only general packaging enterprises, so the relevant state departments have no certification standards and cannot accept them. All food desiccant manufacturers only have three certificates: business license, tax registration certificate and organization code.
So how to identify whether desiccant can be used in food and medicine?
There are two ways to identify whether desiccant can be used in food:
1. Does the desiccant have a test report related to food safety? For example: microorganisms, heavy metals, abnormal toxicity and so on.
2. Does the packaging material of desiccant meet the requirements of food packaging material? The direct contact of packaging materials with food is more important than the safety of contents. At present, among the types of packaging materials, food-grade composite plastics and DuPont paper are more suitable. (Our company has mineral desiccant specially used for food, which is currently used by many customers.)
